Post electric radiator fan question

I've been reading up on replacing my factory fan with an electric one. When replacing the fan do you end up leaving on the pully wheel that drives the factory fan or do you remove it and change the belt size and path?

Cool

I think the fan pulley is also the water pump pulley. So I would bet it stays.

Cool

MechE- You leave this pulley on, it continues to drive the water pump using the factory belt.
