Lightbulb Clifford alarm?

Hi,

Just a quick question, hope to get some response. Anyone have a Clifford alarm? Do the arm/disarm chirp and the siren sound like all other brands? Because it seems like every brand uses the same chirps and sirens.

Thanks.

Yes, they do sound the same but depending on what Clifford model you have you can custom the sounds of the siren.

Thanks guys. I have an alarm made by DEI right now, but the chirps and siren aren't that loud at all.

Put a clifford siren in it, but it would have to be the siren one not the speaker one. Or see your local shop and test what sirens they have, I'm sure they have replacement sirens that they can hook up on the bench.

Clifford used to be owned by Avital. Now they are owned by DEI... the same company that sells crappy alarms at Best Buy and Circuit City. Get an Avital! www.avital.com

My bad, I just found that out today. I know the former president of Avital. That guy has some bad *** cars a hot wife and a wicked house. I talked to him about getting a remote start on my bike today and he told me about the merger with DEI. Not a good thing. To be honest, you are probobaly still O.K. to get the Avital Avistart but I would be hesitant to buy DEI/Clifford/Avital now.

Thumbs up

Unquestionably, without one SINGLE shred of doubt... THE best alarm I have EVERY owned is the one I have installed in my truck. It's a compustar made by Firstech Inc. The range on the remote is unbelievable for starter's. It's got a 2way paging system up to a 1/4 mile. If someone try's to break into your truck the alarm will go off and it will page you telling you that someone has broken in. If someone has bumped it too hard and it chirp's to warn them off then it'll page you saying that your truck has had some sort of vibration. You can hook up the remote starter on it as well and have keyless entry on it. You can also check the stat's on your vehicle at anytime. Click on Firstech Inc. and go check them out. You won't be sorry.

Hey Qub3d..

I was thinking about a pager for my ride here, but wasn't sure how well they work.. Inside buildings and everything else reception is no problem? Of course, I just wonder, if the thing goes off, would I ever be able to get to the truck in time to lower the boom... hmmm.

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
I am interested in purchasing a new Compustar 2WSS-AS alarm.

I can't find anyone that carries it! Can anyone direct me to where I may purchase one.

BTW, I am currently in Memphis.

So what did you pay for your CompuSTAR? Was it for the top of the line CompuSTAR with the pager and all?

Do you know what MSRP is?

What have other people paid?

I was just quoted 950 from a local isntaller. Seemed very high to me.

Thanks.

Clifford and Avital are 2 in the same ........owned previously by one company.......in late 2000 were purchased (SOLD) by DEI, they were out of money. As a authorized DEI dealer.....and proudly sell Viper and Avital pieces.....and formally a AVITAL dealer prior to the merger.....this was the best thing that could have happened to AVITAL and CLIFFORD.
