Fog Light wiring question

I have a question for you electrical guys out there. I installed new fog lights on my SCREW and when I turn them off, I get a "popping" noise through my speakers.
The fog lights are Hella Micro FF and I used the supplied wires, switch, and relay. I ran the (Red) power wire directly to the battery, the ground wire to an existing ground point in the engine bay, the black wires to the fog lights, and the yellow wire through the firewall to the switch as the instructions indicate. There is a ground wire for the switch which I attached to a brace that holds the dash up and there is also a green power wire for the switch that I ran to constant power at the back of the cigarette lighter. The fogs work fine and the switch illuminates fine when turned on but I can't stand the fact that I get that popping noise. Obviously, something is not right.

My Brother-In-Law is a Kenworth Truck mechanic and he looked at it with me last night. We determined that the green wire which sends power to the switch is not causing the popping noise (We unplugged the relay and there was no noise). He suggested putting a zener diode on the yellow wire that goes from the relay to the switch (figuring there was current running back to the switch from there). I just ran out to Radio Shack and bought a 5v zener diode, they didn't have a 12v, and tried that. There was no difference at all that I noticed. I was hoping I would at least notice some difference using a 5 volt.

Do any of you guys have any ideas? I would much appreciate any help. I'm wondering at this point if the switch that Hella provided is bad.

Thanks,
Supercrewn
