Angry Signal lights

When flipping to turn left or right the signal light just glows solid, front and back. No bad fuses present. When truck is moving they work sometimes as long an they are not on too long. If they are on for more than 7 or 8 seconds or I come to a stop they stop blinking and just glow.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

It used to be that when a blinker failed to flash on one side only and stayed on, that meant a bulb was burned out. On our trucks, I understand that if they blink fast on one side only, that means there's a burnt out bulb.

I don't know exactly what your symptoms indicate, but if they're happening on both sides, I'm guessing it's a problem with the blinker "relay." You know, the thing under the dash that clicks?

Thumbs up

Thanks for the help. That sounds as good of place to start than anywhere else.

Check this one out. My left blinker works fine. My right one was doing this. If I pushed the blinker all the way up, it flashed really fast on the dash. Outside the truck, the back light was blinking very fast, and the front wasn't doing anything. However, if I hold the blinker up where it isn't locked in position, works fine. So I took the switch apart and cleaned all the contacts. Works fine now.
