Post RAP module in our trucks

Does anyone know the specs for the RAP module that the F-150 uses? I'm wondering if it's the same used in other Ford's, and even in the SCrew. I would like to know if it can control more than one auto lock. I would like to add power lock to my tailgate lock, and I'm wondering if it will all work off the RAP module. It would be nice to be able to unlock the tailgate with the keypad. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Cool

If you tie your tailgate lock into the door locks, then it would unlock when the doors unlock. I think that is how most of the aftermarket tailgate locks work. They have a wiring harness that tees into the door lock wiring.

Sounds like you're wanting to lock/unlock it separately. I think the Expy would be the closest relative that would do what you want. I think they have a separate circuit that operates the rear hatch. If you know someone with an expy, take a look at its module and see if its the same.

RAP absolutely stinks. It's not even music, just annoying noise, and has no place in a big, bad truck or Expy!!

Hey skicrave, I am pretty sure there is an add on aftermarket module that you could use to do this.

I think I saw it at hmmm... mcmelectronics.com, adds extra channels to your factory keyless entry. Basically what you would do is press the lock button three times or something within a certain time period and it outputs a pulse to control something else. Maybe this could help?
