Angry Turn signals

I was wondering if anyone else had a problem
with their turn signals not working if their
tilt wheel is pulled down further than the
top most 2 positions on a '98 F-150 Lariat?
Thanks

Yes I have had a similar problem...at first, the turn signals just quit working all together. I took it to the dealer to have them check it...they replaced the multifunction switch (turn signal switch). When I was driving away, I put the tilt all the way down where I keep it and they quit working. They took the truck back in the shop, and had to replace a connector on the column because when you tilted down, it pulled on the harness and the connector would lose contact....it had a couple bad pins in it. When they did that...all was good on my 99 F-150.

No, it does not work when the wheel is straight and I do not hear a clicking noise from the dash.
Thanks for the help guys.
I'll check on that recall.

Ford says that there is NO recall on this problem. It is the connector within the column. I fixed mine myself but don't know how long it'll last.

Can you give us a little more info on how to get to that connector? Appreciate it.
