Disable Chimes
Before I tear into my 1 week old truck, can somebody provide me some information on disabling door chimes? Specifically, I would like to disable the chime when the key is in the ignition, but have it function if the headlights are on.
On my GMC, this was a simple case of removing the chime and snipping one of the blades off. On my Ford, it appears the chime is in back of the fuse panel.
Any suggestions?

Hey Chucky,
My dealer removed the electrical contact that was in the ignition switch to shut my door shimes off. It still dings when the lights are on.
They charged me $1.50 to do it.
I have no idea how they did it but it counldn't have taken much!

I noticed you have a magnacharger. How do you like it and has gas mileage suffered terrribly. Was it painful to install, is it noisy, etc. My wife said if I rub her back and kiss her *ss all summer (literally), I could buy one!
Superchip, Gibson SS Catback, and Air Raid are going on over the next two weeks. I see you didn't like the Gibson Headers, WHY?
