Intermittant Wipers Pausing?

Intermittant Wipers Pausing?
Has anyone had the problem of the wipers pausing at different parts of the windshield while they are moving when you have them turned on intermittant? If so, what was the problem?

I don't remember who it was on this site, but they said that there was a recall on the
multifunction switch which controls that wipers. Hope this helps.
I know the one on my '92 Ford had this problem until I cleaned the switch with some electrical contact clearner.
