Question DRL voltage

I just put aftermarket Daytime Running Lights on my truck, but I couldn't find the lower output unit like I wanted to save bulb life. Is there a way to convert this kit so the lights only come on at 80% intensity until I actually turn the headlight switch on? Is it as easy as wiring in a resistor?

Hi Chelly

Sorry, cant answer your specific question.
Was looking at my wiring diag. trying to help out another trucker, when i saw your post.

Ford uses a "DRL Module" thats wired inline with the headlight circuit. Probably available thru parts dealer, or perhaps someone thats got that know how to make it?

Good luck. OT
