Did all '99 F-150 XLTs come with the keyless entry? If not what would be involved in getting it?

 

Keyless entry is an option, not standard, unless you have a Lariat (I think?). I forgot to order it on mine, and the dealer said they could install it, but I would have to buy the kit and pay for labor. $125 for kit, $200 for labor. No thank you. I just got a Rattler 100 keyless entry installed on my truck yesterday, for $139 installed at Circuit City. Took 45 min. I am quite happy with it. It locks when the truck is started, and unlocks when it is shut off, too.

 

Thanks, that is great information. Do you know if it is possible to have a garage door and the truck on one remote? I saw a remote in Radio Shack that claimed learn codes for 3 garage doors but did not mention keyless entry for an auto.
