Question anyone know about P&B relay?

Hello there, thanks for reading.
I was just wondering if anyone knew what the P&B VF4-45F11 40 amp relay with PC board might serve on my '98 f150 with the 4.6.
I posted a message on "computer chips" (Mike T., anyone.....) expaining my problem.
This is the scoop: I installed my Superchip module. I followed the instructions to a 'T'.
I didn't have any problems. When I reconnected the battery everything was ok. The only thing is I was hearing a click and the interior lights were going on and off. I'm not too thrilled about taking this problem to the dealership, because I put the chip in. So I did some investigating. I found the relay that the clicking was coming from. I am not exactly sure what it serves. Some thing to do with the interior lights. I would like to try replacing the relay before going to the dealership. Anyone heard of anything like this? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Tom.
p.s. For a bit more insight, check out my post in "computer chips"

I saw your post in the chips section & what you describe sounds like an aftermarket security system or something. No auto maker uses P&B (potter-brumfield) relays that I know of. too expensive.I think your battery reset messed up the devices settings. Try unplugging that relay and try everything else to make sure they work.

Thanks Redlariet.
I thought it might have been something like that. I checked the replacement cost of the P&B relay, $29. Most other relays were around $5. I like to check as much as I can before I start adding and removing things. I may be somewhat mechanically inclined, I am NOT a mechanic though.
I will try removing the relay.
Thanks again.
Tom.

it is an aftermarket device as was suggested, probably some one's alarm.
