Question Indicator for cruise/c ON ?

I miss not having an indicator for the cruise/c being ON (engaged) on my 98 F150 XLT. I've done a little looking on the electrical schematics, and I think I could make one of the 4 wheel indicators light up when the cruise is engaged (I have 2 wheel drive).
Any comments? better idea?

What happened to your indicator on your truck? Or is it just to much of a pain to change out the buld for it that you want to use the 4x4 light instead.

The 98 XLT does NOT have an indicator when the cruise is engaged. That's what I'm trying to create.

I don't like the indicator light myself. I can tell it's engaged when the truck is running 65 mph & my foot is off to the side. The light seems like a distraction.
