Friends truck would not start so he had it jumped a few times then finally got a new battery for it. We shut the truck off, changed the battery and tried to start the truck. It cranks real good but won't start. We checked all the usual suspects everything was good. We checked the coil and found that it wasn't putting out any spark. Is there a way we could have killed the coil by doing something wrong when we changed the battery? Or did the dying of the coil just happen to coincide with the battery change?
