Power Seat wiring (2003 XL)

I'm planning to install power seat into my 2003 XL.
I doubt that there is a wiring for it under the carpet, therefore I obviously need to get +12V somewhere.

I found this connector behind the headlight switch:

I believe it is power pedal connector which has +12V in it. Can I pigtail +12V from it to power seat?

The power pedal circuit ( the Dark Green wire ) is the same circuit from the BJB ( aka Battery Junction Box, engine compartment fuse panel ) Fuse #112.

The common splice between the 2 items is S298, which I would guess where the wire to the power pedal switch ( if that is it ) is a smaller AWG wire, not capable of powering the power seats.

If the seats are just power seats ( not heated ) I would suggest just running a fused wire to the battery to power them ( I think the power seats are 12 AWG ? ).

The fuse is a 30A, so using an add-a-fuse in BJB position #112 is not a good idea.

The BJB unbolts easy enough, you might be able to install the wire from the back, and use the correct position ( if the wire is not already there ).

Thanks SSCULLY. As you suggested, I ran 30A fused 12 AWG wire from the battery to the seat - works fine!

Next up Power Windows.
