What is this connector?

I tore apart my dash in preparation for the EATC conversion and found a connector on the left side of the steering wheel. There are 5 wires going to it, but it only plugs into a dummy socket on the dash surround. There are 8 pin locations, but not all are filled.

Yep thats the power pedal switch.
There are actually only seven pin locations.
In Order

1 White - ADJ pedal motor forward (+-)
2 RED L-Blue - Voltage at all times (+) Overload protected
3 Black - Ground
4 BLACK L-blue - Ground
5 L-blue RED - Instrument illumination
6 Black - Ground
7 Red ADJ pedal motor rearward (+-)

Look above the brake pedal, there should be a small two pin connector hanging about 3-4 inches up and slightly to the left of where the brake pedal bolts in.
Should have a white wire and a red wire going to it.
IF its there you can just bold the pedals right up and plug them in and dremel out the hole for the switch and pop that in and connect it. Check for the fuse, and you should be set for adj pedals.

yea the lariats do, some of the FX4s have the area just not the hole. My XLT has the plug seat but no hole and no plugs at either end. Im sure one week if im bored and find some harley pedals for a decent price i can get it wired up easily though.

Also note that if your truck has the memory function a few of those wires still do the same thing but are a different color code.
But if you have a MEM function i doubt your looking to add the pedals lol
