Poor lighting
Hello
I just traded my beloved 1990 f150 xlt Lariat in on a 1998 f150 XLT 4wd LB Supercab. My problem is the headlights. They seem an awfully lot dimmer than the old truck to me. To be blunt, they are awful!!! I have had them checked by the dealer. I dont think it is just me, because if I forget to dim down, no body flashes me. In the old truck, I would often get flashed even with the lows on. The lighting system was stock in that truck. The new truck is Canadian spec. (Do Canadians see that much better than us?)
Any suggestion about what might be done?
Thanks.....

I can't believe that you are having problems w/ your headlights being to dim. Mine are great! I'm wondering since they are the capsule type, with a plastic case, if maybe the pickup didn't sit out a lot, and the lenses are now very cloudy looking and maybe a little bit yellowed. I know I've seen this problem a lot on older (early 90's) cougars and T-birds with the plastic lenses.
Hope this helps.
