Unhappy please help! crazy futuristic electronics broken

i went muddin a couple days ago and think i splashed a little water on my power distribution box. It was fine for a while but now when the car starts and the doors are all closed, the "door ajar" light will stay on for about 2 minutes then shutoff. Sometimes, it works fine however! I've tried slamming and gently shutting all 3 doors. No effect. What bugs me is- since it thinks a door is still open the lights all stay on in the cab, which hurts nighttime driving considerably...What do i do? thanks in advance,

It might not be a problem with the distribution box. Instead, it could be a problem with the switches in the door latch mechanism. It's a well known problem. Shoot some WD-40 into the latch mechanism using the snorkle tube. Operate the latch a few times. If you're lucky, the oil will flush the dirt out of the switch.
