Service Engine Soon Dash Light
Service engine light stays on. I recently had to briefly disconnect the battery, and remove a fuse on the interior fuse panel for aux elec work. This dash light know stays on. Truck is 1 month old. Is there a reset switch, to turn the light off. All works fine, are no electrical, emissions or other problems.????? Dealer says to bring in. 2000 Lariat, 5,000 miles.

the MIL indicates that the PCM has determined that there is a malfunction in the control system that will cause emissions to increase above predetermined levels. AKA, it's broke, take it to the dealer.
