Dash Lights
I have a 1997 Ford F-150. The illumination for the tach. dash light seems to be non existent. Also, the heater controls do not illuminate at all. Does anyone know if there is a separate fuse for this or if bulbs are easy to access in order to change? How the heck do you change the bulbs? Appreciate any pointers.

Sounds like a fuse, or possibly a bad connection under the dash somewhere. I can't say for sure, but I'd put my money on the connector. My best advice would be to pull the dash trim panels off and start tracing wiring harnesses with a test light. (Of course, AFTER checking the fuses!!!!)

GIJoeCam: Thanks for the reply!! Was wondering if the dash trim panels are difficult to remove? I see only two screws on the underside of the panel near/above the speedo/tach. Do the panels just pop off by pulling on them?
I had a Nokia hands free system installed several months ago and noticed the where the privacy handset is mounted they screwed thru the dash just above the cig lighter. They may have clipped a wire or connection.
