Question Dome light and radio delay

My '99 base 2dr is supposed to have (I think!) a delay on the dome lights after you open the door, and also the radio should have a delay to keep it playing after the ignition key is turned off. Unfortunately, neither features work. Any ideas where I should look?

The radio is not on the accessory delay circuit for a 99 F150.

The dome and courtesy lamps should come on whenever the door is opened anyway as long as the Battery Saver Relay remains energized.

The radio part projectSHO89 already answered, that feature was introduced with the '04 MY ( New Body style, 04 Lightning & Heritage did not have it ).

The dome lamps, you say don't work ?

Is it they do not go on, or is this they do not turn off after the Accessory delay relay should be off ( ~ 15 min I think ) ?

What is the trim level on your truck ?

Dome light

It's a base 2WD V6, a work truck I bought used last year. The dome light comes on when the door is opened, but there's no delay to keep it on when you shut the door. I thought it was supposed to do that. Am I wrong?

Base is not a trim level, the trim levels are XL, XLT, Lariat ( for your MY ).

I will guess it is a XL, and no the XL does not have that function on it either.

The XL would have the CTM version of the GEM and there is no count down timer or illuminated entry function in this version of the GEM.
