Multi-function switch operation
I would be most grateful if anybody could explain to me how the park lamps, head lamps, stop lamps and turn lamps operate through the multi-fucnction switch.

You might get a better response if you went into a little more detail. In the US, stop lamps work off the brake pedal, headlamps off the auto-sensor or the manual switch, park lamps in conjuction with headlamps only, and turnlamps off a different switch on the column.

Headlamps: Fused 12v through headlamp switch, through MF to select Lo or Hi beam. Also a fused 12v around headlight switch, through MF for flash-to-pass to work with headlamps off.
Parking (running) Lamps are through headlamp switch, not through MF.
Stop Lamps: Brake switch feeds switched 12v to MF, if Hazard is off, routes to brake lamps.
Rear Turn: If Hazard is Off, pulsed 12 v from turn flasher goes to Stop/Turn lamps.
Same for front turn lamps.
If Hazard Switch is on, Hazard relay sends 12v to MF, MF in Hazard position takes over rear Stop/Turn lamps and front turn lamps. So Hazard blinks them, turn signal stalk position has no effect.

Again you have helped out once more, please accept my deepest gratitude!
Because of the EU and UK lighting specifications on vehicles, all lamps must run on their own individual circuits and bulbs. Consequently, I have to rig my F150 to these specs.
Granpa, can I correctly assume that by disconnecting the stop lights from the M/F switch and run them directly from the brake pedal switch to their appropriate lamps, this will not interfere with the function of the M/F switch with regards to the turn lamps as I guess they will still work correctly without the stop circuit connected to it?
I would much appreciate your comments on this matter.

There is a wire from the Brake Switch up to the MF Switch. It passes through connector C253, on its way to the steering column. If you want to intercept it before the MF Switch, C253 looks like the way to do it. C253 is listed as behind Left side of instrument panel, is a 16 pin black connector. Pin 2 on this connector should have the Light Green wire of this circuit.
It looks like disconnecting this one wire will disable the rear Brake/Turn lamps filament from ever coming on by the Brake.
I assume you are adding a separate Brake Lamp for each side of the truck somehow.
If so, you could use the wire you disconnected (the from-Brake-Switch-end) to turn on those auxilliary Brake Lamps.
It seems you will need to add extra lamps, as the USA system shares the same lamp filament for Turn/Brake, and you need one more lamp filament per side to separate the functions, at least that's what it seems to me.
Let me know if I can be of more help, or if I'm not understanding correctly what you want to do!
