Scanner install help

i am going to install a bearcat handheld scanner in my truck. I was thinking about hardwiring it through a switch and using a fuse tap for power. the problem is I do not know how much the amp draw is on the scanner. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with an idea of how to wire it or examples from anyone else's setup. thanks

Usually there is a not of the voltage and amp draw next to the DC plug on items. IF not, take a look in the owners manual for the specifications.
