I am the 2nd owner of a '98 XLT that has had both bumpers replaced due to fender bender. It has a foglight switch in it but no foglights. The original owner says he doesn't recall it having foglights.


Funny side note. My Wife leased a '98 Contour. It had foglights but no Foglight Switch (Ford fixed this). Maybe my F150 got the switch.

Here are my questions;

1. Do all f-150s come with this switch?

2. Are Foglights a 4wd option?

3. Anyone know where the foglights plug into the harness?

Welcome aboard Travicaster! As a fairly new member, I can assure you that you will find this site to be extremely helpful, informative and entertaining. I believe the fog lights were a 4x4 option. As far as the switch goes, I believe all of the F-150's have the same switch, but the ones without foglights simply do not have the contacts in the switch (according to someone else's post). As far as the harness goes I have no idea. Good luck and congratulations on coming over from the Dark Side (Chevy)!

Thanks for the Welcome wemjr. I worked in Augusta for 2 years 91-92 in support of SRS. Your truck sounds real sweet. Only thing I can find wrong....remove the UGAs and replace with AUs! Just kidding.

F-150 content: I would think that if Ford was going to put the same switch (mechancaly)in every truck they would perform the same (electricaly). Would cut production costs and make dealer installed foglights a breeze.

Nice to hear from someone who has visited/lived in Augusta! So, what did you think of our fair town? Replace my UGA's with AU's?!?!?! Man, people get shot for less than that around here! Besides, I bleed Red and Black! (it's inherited). I agree with you on that whole switch thing, but according to someone else's post, that's how it is. Check the other foglight post in this forum to see if it could help.

Here are a few thoughts on Augusta.

1. great place to live!

2. 96 WRXR plays Rolling Stones 4 times an hour.

3. Only place I've been where you can see a McDonalds from the parking lot of another (Washington Road).

4. This place is crazy on Masters week.

5. Met alot of nice people including UGA grads who took me to the Auburn Game 'Tween the Hedges (Auburn won 91 or 92???).

6. Worked Downtown in the Lamar bldg. and got to see James Brown often near the impirial theatre. Including dinner at T-Bones.

7. What are all these 2-40+ yr old girls doing dressed like streetwalkers with too much makeup and riding in cadilacs? Oh......Gypsies.

8. Sharpened my guitar building skills under the famous Luthier Bryan Hoyt!

9. Mountain biking the canal and trails in SC pretty cool.

10. Seen many cool shows at the Post Office.
