I have a 1997 F-150 XLT Extend Cab. My "door ajar" light stays on after I start the vehicle. Eventually, after a few seconds, the interior light goes off, as does the "door ajar" light. Then, mysteriously, it corrects itself for a day or so before the problem resumes. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

This was on a post several months ago. Spray the door latch mechanism in the door with WD-40 or a similar penetrating oil. That's where the door sense switch is somewhere in there.
