Question Getting wires from the cab to the engine compartment

I am running a couple of wires from the cab to the lights in my new bumper cover. Where is the best place to run the wires through the firewall?

I just installed a B&M shift plus kit and had to run the wires out the fire wall. There is a rubber plug right beside where the brake rod go's through. It's about an inch and a half wide and go's right into the engine compartment. It was real easy to pull out and put back in. I just cut a slit in it for the wire to go through. Hope this helps!

All the A/C stuff is on the other side. It's pretty tight. You'll see when you look under there! Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Thanks, John. Is there another plug on the other side? I need to run to the battery and was hoping for the shortest path. If not, I'll just run it where you mentioned.

Just installed the factory fog lamp kit in my '98 Expy. The drivers side plug is where the instructions recommended routing from the passenger compartment into the engine bay. They recommended routing the wire through the tunnel like deal immediately in front of the wipers under the hood and on the top of the firewall. Just straighten out a coathanger and snake through there. It comes out on the pasenger side next to the starter solenoid. I put a dab of silicon on the wire where it came through the slit I cut in the plug to preclude any possibility of water leaking through (also cut a slit through the insulation/soundproofing on the passenger compartment side of the firewall although it is precut punchout and you could just remove and discard that part of the sound proofing/insulation.
