Talking Phantom wipers/Keyless entry problems

Just great, I have the phantom wiper problem now. It started about three weeks ago with one or two wipes a week, now the wipers will come on and off when they want and they ignore the switch completely. I also went to unlock my truck this am and when I hit the unlock button on the key fob, it just honked. It won't unlock at all except with the key. It will lock but it honks twice no matter how many times I hit the lock button. Now it is honking whenever it wants. It just honked while I type this and I have been 75ft. away from it for about a half hour. I am also having a problem with the instrument lights not coming on right away when I turn the lights on. It takes as long as ten seconds for the instument lights to come on. Anybody had the keyless problem or the light problem???

What year is your truck?

I have never experienced any of these problems in the 98 I had or my 2000.

Sounds like Christine!

Best of luck!

Update, I went to the dealer to set an appointment, I went in to parts to ask about the remote battery for the KE. It was an old friend of mine working there so he took the transmitter apart and dumped a lot of water out of it and now it is fine. I have no clue how the water got there but it was shorting out the transmitter. All is well now except for the wipers. He says most f-150 will have that some time in their life. It will be fixed on Tuesday.
