Thumbs down Turn Signal Cancel

I was reading the thread in General Discussion "What do you dislike about your truck" and a few ppl were complaining about the turn signal canceling too easy.
Mine does this too.
Do all F150s do this or are only certain model affected ?

Mine is fine as far as I can tell, works good. This is new to me. Now the older trucks I kept having the signal cam break , not any problems with the new style....Lariat1

Cool

My problem is it won't catch coming up to a turn. There is a big gap between strait and turning where it just doesn't catch and I have to hold it or turn the wheel till it does.

NO problems with mine. Maybe vibration or jarring has caused something to shift or come loose?

Here in Tennessee nobuddy uses a turn signal so I guess I don't have a problem with it.

Thumbs down

Fords have been like that for years! My old '88 Taurus had the same arm/mech that my '97 Lariat has, as a matter of fack it had the same pwr dr lock, window, and power seat buttons. If any Ford eng. are listening...we think this aspect of our trucks suck, spend some $$$ do some thinking and start paying attention to the little things!
Was that too harsh?!?
oh well

Mine too, 54. If the steering wheel is not straight turn signal stick will not hold.

I've experienced the problem too. The turn signal won't always catch if the steering wheel is just a little off center. This can be a nuisance if the road you're on has a slight curve in it just before your turn--like to my street in my subdivision.

Regards,

Mark

Mine doesn't do it I think. If it does it hasn't annoyed me yet. But since we're on the same stalk, the wipers annoy me like nothing else ever has. Put it on delay and you never know how fast it will go...if it will go at all.

Can't set the Left turn signal when the wheel is slightly turned to the left. Funny thing is, if you turn the wheel the same amount while stopped, the lever will catch. Only seems to happen when you're actually driving and coming up to a stop/turn situation. It never seems to happen on right turns.

54regcab--

After reading your post...I made sure to check mine just to be sure. There is a small area that will not allow the turn signal to catch if the wheel is slightly off center.
