Radio wont work (97 lariat)
Just getting my truck put back together after the wife had an front end accident with it. Was able to get everything working but the radio?? This is what Ive checked so far. Fuse under the hood #6(15 amp) is good and I do have 12V of power to what I believe is the Battery wire(greenw/black stripe) @ the conector to the radio. The #8 fuse under the dash is good(5amp), there doesnt seem to be any ignition voltage at the radio conector?(black w/purple stripe) Any help muchly appreciatated
Shorted to what ?
When you say "there doesnt seem to be any ignition voltage at the radio conector?" Is there power there or not ( i.e. use a meter and test it ), and what wire are you testing ?
What Green w/ Black stripe wire are you talking about ?
BJB Fuse #8 feeds a Light Green w/ Pink stripe wire to the back of the radio ( pin #1 ), is this what you mean ?
CJB Fuse # 8 feeds a Black w/ Pinks stripe wire to the back of the radio ( pin # 3 ).

How did you test CJB Fuse #8 ?
Is there voltage on both sides of the fuse when metered on both pins on the back of the fuse ? Your test results would indicate there is no voltage on both sides.
