Passengers Power Door Lock Won't Lock--Will Unlock

1998 Supercab F150. 130K

When I press the Unlock or Lock button on the driver's door, both doors lock and unlock as they should.

When I press the Unlock or Lock button on the passenger's door, it will unlock both doors but the Lock button does nothing. Neither door clicks or locks as they should.

I have no key FOB. This is only when pressing the buttons on the door.

Do you think this is the actuator in the door that has gone bad or does it have something to do with the switch itself? What should I replace?

In the past when I've replaced actuators on other cars, it's always just been the one door that didn't work--not both. So I'm thinking it may not be the actuator.

Thanks

It wouldn't be the actuator if the doors both function normally from the drivers door switch. I would remove the pass. door switch and snap it apart and clean the contacts. That will probably take care of the problem, but if it doesn't, come back and we'll go from there.
