i got a 01 ford lightning motor that came with the harness that connects to the injectors...i pulled my 5.4L and put in the lightning motor...the main harness of the 5.4L doesnt connect to lightning harness...is there a way i can use my stock 5.4L harness on it...if so how will i connect to the boost bypass valve and those sensors thanks!!!

 

You are going to need to either

1. Install the lightning harness to the truck ( including the PCM harness ).
2. Install the additional harness items, and confirm pin for pin the N/A motor harness to the Lightning harness ( to see if any pins need to be moved ).

You should have had the same problem at the PCM end of the harness, where the truck's harness is missing pins as well.

Might want to search, there were a few threads on Lightning motor swaps some time ago. There might be some details in those threads.

 

alot of people that do this swap use there 5.4L harness...how do you go about connecting the pin for pin

 

i got an 02 lightning wireharness that goes around the motor and i have a 00 5.4L main harness the end wont connect do i need one from an 00 lightning

 

Then you might want to ask "them" how they did it.

The connectors are not the same, and in the cab of the truck there are a few additional ones that are not in the N/A 5.4L truck.
