97 rear light issues

97 rear light issues

so heres the issue...

left side of the bed light.. out
left rear hazard.. out
left rear running.. out
left rear hazard.. out

all brake and turns work

bulbs... good.
fuses... good.

stumped.. gotta be a relay or a ground!!??!?!? where to start???

I would say neither a relay ( there is only the flasher, which is the same for both sides ) nor a ground ( only 1 ground for the stop/ turn / tail bulb connector ).

I would say time to pull and test the MFS

thanks.. i swapped the one in my jeep.. that was less than fun. hopefully the ford is not so defiant.

Ford is pull the knee panel, and the bottom cover on the steering wheel column ( the square part where the MFS / hazard switch is ).

There are 3 screws on the bottom, in 4 holes. The 4th hole is the release for the ign switch. I find it easier to pull the ign switch cylinder when taking off the cover ( bending the plastic less ). After this is it easy to get the top cover off, and un-screw the MFS from the top of the steering wheel column.
