Airbag Light Flashing (1-8)
 

Please help. I have a 2004 F150 STX - 4.6L and the airbag light is flashing once then 8 times over and over and then stays on while driving. Is anyone able to tell me what part needs to be replaced.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you had the center trim panel ( around the radio ) out as of late ?

This is showing as the PAD light, could be if the center trim panel was out, it was not plugged in.

I have not had my center panel removed recently. But I will remove it to fix this problem. I just need to know how to get it open. Thanks.

Open the ash tray, and grab each lower corner and pull.

The panel is held on with 6 or 8 spring clips ( 3 or 4 on each side ).
