2004 F150 Airbag light flashing

I know what's wrong, error code 18, I'm just wondering which would be better; to replace that harness, if possible, or just solder in a new LED.
I'm nearly positive that just the new LED would be a good deal cheaper.

Also, where do I need to start the dash disassemble at?
I know how to get the glove box and the cover above that off as well as the panel below the steering wheel but I can't seem to get the middle out, no center console, just can't get the radio and everything out.

pop open the cup holder and pull out on the radio surround from the bottom edge first

Are you doing this on a column shift or a center console shift? On my center console shift, I just open the ash tray and remove the trim around the radio by pulling the bottom first and working my way up to the top of the dash.
