Weird Fog Light Issue
I just installed some Recon Headlight and Fog light bulbs, now when the heads and fogs off but with the fogs set to come on when it gets dark enough the fogs come on when I hit the brakes. Also when I step on the brake there is a clicking noise I never noticed on the passenger side it sounds like its coming from the fuse box.
I also put in leds front and rear, but it has been working fine until I put in the head and fog bulbs. The only other thing is when I had the heads off I put in the led side marker. I'm not sure if that is what it is but I'm about to take the side marker led out and see if it helps out any.
Hope I explained that good enough. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks fellas.

If you change the bulbs back to stock, does the problem still happen ?
Not sure what you mean by "the fogs set to come on when it gets dark enough " The autolamp position would be parking lamps, headlamps, and fog if the switch is pulled out when in the auto position.
Did you do any other modifications ? Not sure how the brake lamp circuit can get to the fog lamp circuit, they are isolated. The headlamp circuit has nothing to do with the brake lamps.

Not sure if I'm going crazy but I couldn't recreate the issue. But the fog light indicator on the switch still lights up when I step on the brakes but now the fogs aren't coming on. Everything seems good so far I'm still confused on what would be causing this.

I have it set on auto with the switch pulled so the fogs come on. But now in daylight (headlamps off) when I step on the brake the light on the switch comes on saying that the fogs are on, and I hear the click on the passenger side floor.
I thought the same thing, maybe my eyes fooled me and I thought the fogs were on.

its a common issue with leds, they do not draw enough current and the currents tends to "bleed over" into other lights. The light on your dash can usually be fixed by adding a load resistor. Google LED load resistor and you can find them for sale in many applications. Hope this helps.

The fogs definitely came on when I put on brakes when I'm in drive. I saw the reflection off of the car in front of me, I even tapped the brakes to be sure so I am positive they were coming on. I'm finally on my weekend off so Ill be investigating some more reinstalling the old ones to see if it is just the bulbs or not.
The problem didnt start until the Xenon head and fog bulbs were installed. I have a electronic flasher instead of using load resistors. I am also aware that load resistors would probably be the better route, but they have been working just fine with the flasher for a few months already.
Why did you install an electronic flasher & why are you installing load resistors, do you have LEDs installed ?
All are leds except for reverse and cab brake light/cargo. Interior domes as well.
Haven't had alot of time, but I did put in the stock fogs back in and still have the same issue. Haven't got to the headlight bulbs yet.

Finding out as we go is going to lengthen the diagnoses.
I believe I have answered the question before, asking questions that have already been answered will also lengthen the diagnoses.
