What do you want to trigger the relay, the parking lamps or the headlamps ?

It would be nice to be able to turn them on with out the parking lights. Right now I hooked it to the brown wire and it allows the fogs to turn on only when the parkinglights are on.

If you want to be able to turn them on without any headlamps on, you need a hot in run / accy position wire, not a wire from the main headlamp switch ( those are all hot at all time, and go to the headlamps or the parking lamps / instrument illumination.

If you use an Add-a-Fuse in the radio fuse slot, this would give the function you looking for, without being able to drain the battery.
