In addition to the truck info requested above.
1. Which PCM fuse ( there are a few fuses related to the PCM ).
2. Is the same fuse that has been causing you problem since OCT-09.
- Went looking to see if you had another post with the info, and found the same thread from some time back.

Last thread a member had this symptom, it was the HO2S wiring, where it went past the exhaust on the passenger side
The wiring loom was melted, and would short against the exhaust. Took him some time to track it down, but it found the insulation was pretty shot, and had to be patched with new wire, then put it in new corrugated wire loom, and tie it back, so it would not happen again.

This was on a 1998 MY truck, which is in the same series as your 97 MY.

checked the wire harness and sure enough it was fried choese to replace te harness rather than splice to many wires burnt thank you for the help you saved me a lot of agravation
