How to change keypad code

I bought a 2005 F150 XLT with keypad on door. The dealer did not have the code for me and I would like to use it. Does anyone know how to change it without the old code? Do i need to take it to a Ford dealer to change it?

You have to know the factory code to set a personal code.

I think the factory code is on a label behind the rear seat or the dealer should be able to read it from the PCM.

There is a permanent 5 digit code in the Body Security/Control Module. You have to know this code to enetr your own code. The instructions are in the manual. To get the permanent code, if the card is not in the manual, then you will need to either get it off the label that is attached to the Body Security Module, which means you have to remove the backrest of the rear seat, or the dealer can retrieve it for you with a computer.
