02 f150 tap into either headlight or parking lights

I am thinking about putting clearance lights on the 2 posts for my running boards on my truck. I would like them to come on when I switch on the headlights but do not want to come through the firewall into the cab. Is there a way to tap either the wires to the headlight housing or the parking lights without using a relay or would it be too much draw? Also, if i can tap into the harness for the trailer power that would be great also. I did search but couldnt come up with anything specific to what I am trying to do. Please let me know if anything what color the wire is on the trailer connector that would give me a constant source of power when i have the lights on that wouldnt get brighter if the brakes were to be depressed.

The amount of AMP draw the lights are would answer the question if a relay would be needed to run the additional lamps.

not sure what you are looking for the search term, I know I have posted these at least 1 time each over the years. This is what I read you were looking for, don't know what else you would want, aside from these.

BTW : The parking lamps are a separate circuit and bulb element from the brake lamps. Both run on 12 V.
