i have a 01 f150 when i try to put my brights on both headlights go out any thoughts

 

1. Check the high beam fuse
to test for power on both pins on the fuse, you need the headlamp switch to the on position, and the MFS pushed forward.

2. Check the bulb connector to see if power is at the high beam pin, if so replace the headlamp bulbs, your high beam elements are burnt out.
