passenger window wont roll down. I can hear mootor working, but glass not moving.

It acts as if the connection of the window to whatever raises it up and down is disconnected. If I try to lower the window, the motor runs, but window stays up. As I drive, it'll vibrate itself down until it hits, or misses, the support. I have to manually raise it up, then run the motor up and sometimes when it's near the top, it'll go ahead and push the window the last inch or so. Then it'll stay until someone tries to lower it again, then starts over.
