RECON xenon bulbs

Just wondering if anybody has tried the Platinum Blue XENON Headlight Bulbs (5,600 Kelvin yet or any other headlight bulbs from Recon? I have Sylvania Silverstarts now and looking to upgrade without going to HID.

id be very careful. its very easy to melt your headlights or wiring harness with these higher wattage bulbs. or you wont get the results you think you will. thats why people go to HID because of the light output and the low heat produced because of the use of a ballast.

Sure the bulb is just a 55/60 W bulb with a coating on it.

If you have SS bulbs now ( close to 3500 / 4000 K ), going to a 5600 K color temp bulb will give you less usable lumen on the road.

You can try it with 1 bulb if you want to confirm this, but I would stay away from anything that is above 4K color temp on a bulb, due to diminishing usable lumen output.
