Good place for power.

Where is a good place for power instead of hooking straight to the batt? I have a 2004 supercrew.Thanks

The best place is the fuse block. These pics show 2 older styles of Ford fuse block, but the 2nd one is very similar to yours.

For a CB, the best place to run power from is directly from the battery. If you connect the power for the CB somewhere else, the wires tend to pick up noise from other devices and since a CB is a AM radio, the radio will output the noise through the speaker. I had this problem with mine until I ran the power directly from the battery. It was picking up the whining of my e-fans and it made it really difficult to hear anything through the radio.

Just a tip so that you don't encounter this and have to rewire things later like I did.
