A different auto lock issue

I just put in a new motor in my 02 Lightning and now my door auto locks when the ignition key is turned over to start. I've deprogram it and I get the chirps indicating deactivated but it still locks. It shouldn't do it just when the ignition turns over. I have a "brake light" on, i wonder if that has anything to do with it.

p-ing me off

Thanks

I recall that my 2001 locked when the brakes were put on, and the truck put into drive ( think, been a while ).

Might want to see why the brake lamp is illuminated ( stuck brake pedal position switch ? )

With the motor swap, did you change any harnesses ?

Thanks SSCULLY,

When programmed on they are supposed to lock when placed in gear, mine does it as soon as you start and with program turned off. The brake switch isnt stuck closed. Everything worked fine before the swap, although the truck did sit for a year. I believe all connections are good. I only had to raise the cab and pull motor out 4 times!!!
