Gauges Flatline and ODO Dead

When I start the truck the gauges needles flatline below zero. They don't sweep to full-scale like they do when the battery is low. The Odometer is blank. The truck starts, the gauges flatline, and about 45 seconds later the gauges come to life, all the idiot lights come on temporarly, and the all the LED's of the ODO illuminate and then display the mileage. I have had no other issues except an incurable door lock problem where they keep cycling to unlock and the relay "hums". Does this sound like a GEM Problem? Is thier a tie to the GEM and Door Lock SYstem? Thanks

Might want to check the odometer for the problem that can come up on them

Start with this check, to see if you have cold solder joints.

The GEM tie to the door, is for the door ajar input.
The RAP ( after build date NOV-00, it is a CSM slightly different ) is tied to the door locks, if installed ( i.e key fob, door keypad, etc ).
