Big Time Problems on the 2003 FX4

Well I had to replace my battery about a month ago... and then the ABS light decided to stay on.. I tried resetting it and no luck.. So then I went to have abs codes pulled they found nothing wrong , told me to just drive it.. The Front end is out of line i know because the front passenger tire has only 4000 miles on it as do the others and it is already Cutting the trads to peices.. Also the alternator went out and I had it rebuilt at neely's for 87.00.. they replaced the regulator and rectifier.. The Abs light is on still... Well I took the truck by another shop and the verdict is as follows
Replace ABS sensors
Replace Shocks
Replace Front Wheel Bearing Assm
Replace 2 Front Tie Rod Arms
I was told the Labor and all would be nearly 1400.00 Dollars
Oh well I guess I am going to drive it for a while .. It may take me 3 or 4 months to save up that .. and I really do not want to finance the work..
I did read somewhere about a fuse blowing for the ABS if the voltage is messed up , I dont know if that is for my truck???

Have you checked the fuse for the ABS module, and the connector to the ABS module ?

Might want to stay away from a shop that is trying to pull ABS codes from the OBD connector, there is a separate ABS interface by the hood release on your MY ( seem to recall that is where it is at )

I had the ABS light on with mine, checked the ohms (0 I believe so it was shot) and replaced. This was the rear one on the axle housing (top). Easy and cheap enough to fix. Take it for an alignment, if there is any play in the tie rods, they'll show it to you. Alot of times it's easy for them to fix and cheap but not always. Wheel bearing? Any noise or odd things to suggest that? Shocks too, if you push on the truck and it bounces then yes replace them too. Like up down up down bouncing, not just once let's say (hard to explain). The shocks is a good job to do, it can take a while.
