Color code 4 3ed brk light?
Anyone know the color code of the 3ed brake light wiring?
I need to hard wire A LED 3ed brake light in my 06. My truck does not have A plug that I can find, just wires to the light.
I have A moon roof, that maybe why I dont have A connector or at least I cant see one.
I think black is A ground.
Any help please!
Thanks

The connector for the CHMSL is farther back into the headliner of the cab of the truck. if you want to go fishing for it.
The color codes for the CHMSL are :
pos : Light Green
Ground : black
The cargo lamps in the same lamp housing are :
pos : Black w/ Light blue stripe wire
ground : black ( same one, should only be a single black wire to the housing )

Thank you SSCULLY!
I've looked for the plug when I got the 3ed light (about 4 mo's ago) and gave up, called the place that I got the light from and was told that some F150's had no plug and some did. Thats why I was going to hardwire it in. Now that I think about it, why would Ford not use a connector for a part that may have to be replaced?
If the plugin is going to be a PITA then I'll hardwire the thing in (using solder and heatshrink tubing).
Thanks again SSCULLY
