85'f-150

hey guys.I have a starter problem.After trying to start the truck,the starter wont shut off.I've put a new starter,ignition switch,starter relay and cables.Any ideas?Thanks for the help

Have you changed the starter solenoid on the passenger side quarter panel beside the battery? it should look similar to this.

Take all the wires off the starter relay. Find the heavy one that goes down to the starter and put it on the relay's rear post. Find the tiny LG/R wire and put it on the relay's small post. Put everything else on the relay's front post.

That's a relay, and he said he changed it.

Yeah I put a new selonoid on as well.This glitch has really got me stumped.The only thing i can think of is the parts store gave me defective selonoid.Thats the only reason it should be doing that.Right?

That is what it sounds like to me! If it isn't that then i am stumped on that one.

well,after 4 bad selonoids and a bad battery it finally got driven around today.thanks to all those that helped me out
