06 Supercrew Lariat window quirks

I've seen quite a few threads on this one, but I can't seem to find the answer. My problem is both front windows. They will intermittently not roll up or down using the driver or the passenger controls. Keep pushing on them up and down and eventually I get them to work. Any thoughts?

Very common problem on the 04-08 F150's.
Usually one or more window buttons do this on the driver wide window controls. Fix is to put in a new switch for that window panel. Costs about $50 to get the part online and i've read here it is easy to replace.

Mine did this at around 48,000 miles, dealer replaced switch for $150 parts/labor, now it's doing it again at 68,000 so I am gonna order the part myself and do it this time. This is one of those annoying things about this truck.

My power rear slider windows now is doing this except it won't open at all now so I have to look into that also.

Thanks. Where do I go online to purchase these switches? Also, would I rather purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual for this thing so I can do the work myself? I have no idea how the door pieces go together. Or is the other option being able to find the directions online?

For a how to, check the Technical Articles section ( the gray menu right below the word unofficial ) for a thread on repairing the LEDs in the switch, there is also a section on cleaning the contacts.

I've already replaced mine 1, and cleaned it once in 45K miles.
