Since my base '09 XL had a manual rearview mirror, I started looking around. I originally just wanted something with the outside temp and auto-dim, but it seems the temp function is a premium. I happened across a good deal on eBay for a older style Gentex 313 mirror that had not only autodim and temp, but a compass AND homelink!

I spent a few hours today putting it in. It didn't come with any install manuals, so I have to dig around on the net. Also, Since I've never popped off a mirror I went over to my dealer to see if I could get someone to come out with the special tool and do it. My dealer told me they go to a glass shop. What a load of crap. So, I bit the bullet, and popped it off myself (you can google how others did it. I did it the same way with a screwdriver in the bottom).

Anywho, since I didn't get a color coated harness, and didn't want to pay $40 for it, I dove into that. Incidently, if you don't have color coating, pin 8 is ground, pin 6 is constant on for the homelink to work, and pin 10 (black and white wire) is to be on accessory power for the temp/compass. Also, the temp leads plug into pin slots 1 & 2, doesn't matter which.
