Problems after remote start install!!!!! Im installing a Python 991 on my 08 FX4. Got everything wired up the security system is working properly but I cant get the remote start to work. Here are my problems...

With door closed (locked and unlocked) 8 flashes and im getting a remote start error.

With door open truck will try and start all the relays are clicking but nothing happens it just tries a few times and thats it. After about 3 times I clicked the button to stop the remote start.


I diode isolated the door triggers and added a 10K resistor as per KCAutosounds instructions from another thread. IF needed Ill go write down all my wire connections and colors I really wanted this thing running by monday.


I reprogrammed the immobilizer module and when i click the remote start the module led lights up and doesnt flash so Im guessing its working. Once it lights up there is another relay click and the truck stops and then tries to restart but something is killing it. I tested the green wire and violet wire and I dont have 12V on them that seems like it’s my problem. There is a fused 30A red/black wire that is for the starter/accessory polarity feed should this be connected?

Or does it sound like my factory keyless entry/alarm is causing this?

Update..

Got the remote starter working only problem that still remains is remote start works with the doors open and not closed but the security works with the doors closed?
